Our Church:
Saint Matthew's Parish Church is a progressive, welcoming and an inclusive place of worship within the Manchester Diocese of the Church of England. We hold regular services on Wednesdays and Sundays (see our service times). We are located in the heart of Stretford within the Deanery of Manchester South and Stretford.

Saint Matthew's Church Hall:
Saint Matthew's Church Hall is located next door to Saint Matthew's Church and is available for all sorts of functions. Please be aware that the Hall is run as separate enterprise from our Church and as such all enquiries regarding the Hall should be made to the Hall Manager and not the church. Their direct number is: 0161-865-1750

Fairtrade:
We are a Fairtrade church and wherever possible, only use Fairtrade resourced items such as tea, sugar and coffee.

The Environment:
Here at Saint Matthew's we take climate change seriously. We do, wherever possible, follow the guidelines set by the Church of England and use sustainable and recallable materials. Our lighting has been upgraded as is our use of heating, which is currently under review. The grounds around the church building have been left for "re-wilding" and we have a compost heap where we try to dispose of any compostable materials. We are also signatories to the Manchester Diocese "Eco-Church" scheme.

Find Us: (Bus & Metrolink Information)
From Manchester City centre there is no shortage of buses & trams to Stretford. Buses to Stretford Mall (Arndale) from Manchester Piccadilly include: numbers 15, 255, 256 and 263. For Trams; alight at Stretford Met Station and turn right along Edge Lane in the direction of Stretford Mall (Arndale) - the church building and Saint Matthew's Church Hall are located to the left of the shopping centre (opposite MacDonald food restaurant on Chester Road).
